12 Hours Of Tehachapi
Endurance Mountain bike Race
The 12 Hour’s of Temecula and Tehachapi are Endurance MTB races. These iconic events have a long storied history in Southern California. The 12 Hours Of Temecula Has been around for over 20 years as a SoCal staple. We are pleased to bring it back and add in the 12 Hours of Tehachapi.
- The 12 Hour Races start at 9am and finish at 9pm
- The start is in mass with all riders taking off at the same time
- Courses will vary from 10-16 miles long
- Courses will average 1000-1200 ft of elevation per lap
- Courses will be based on Cross Country style riding. Flowy and slightly technical
- Solo racers will ride as many laps within the given time. The solo categories winners will be determined by who does the most laps within the least amount of time
- Teams will ride as many laps within the given time. Winners will be determined by which teams rode the most laps within the least amount of time.
- Teams can ride in any order and teammates may complete as many laps as determined by the team. But each registered teammate must perform and complete at least one lap to be eligible for a finish. If a Teammate does not complete a lap, the team will still be given a time but will not be within the team standings. The will show as DNC did not complete.
- All lracers must be in and laps completed by the 12 Hour mark. No laps completed after the 12 Hour mark will be counted. Even 1 second after the 12 Hour mark!!!!!
- All riders must have lights at a given time during the race. The race organizer will announce the mandatory light time. It will be around the time that day turns to night.
- All racers will have a timing chip on their number plates. Do not bend, cut, or manipulate your number plate.
- All team racers must start and finish their laps in the team transition area. The teammate handoff must happen in that designated space. The result of this not happening will be a disqualification of the team.
- At the conclusion of the 12 hours, results will be confirmed and awards will commence. Racers must be present to receive awards. Awards will be 3 deep on the podium.
